Jasmine essential oil is obtained from its flowers by extraction with solvents, thus obtaining an "absolute", by separation with alcohol. Absolutely natural oil is then obtained by steam distillation. It is native to northern India, China and Persia and is a perennial, climbing tree with fragrant flowers, especially at night. Its name comes from the Persian word "jasmine" which means "God's gift", thus being associated with love. Jasmine oil balances feminine and masculine energies, brings happiness to souls, due to its effect of relaxing and releasing fears and unblocks the chakras, especially the heart. It works strongly emotionally and is an uplifting oil that warms and harmonizes. In ancient Egypt, the flower of Jasmine was attributed to the goddess Isis, the goddess of fertility, healing and magic.
