Wintergreen essential oil (Gaultheria procumbens) is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of the medicinal plant also known as the “Himalayan Willow”. Native to North America and China, this creeping shrub is renowned for its intense aroma and natural soothing properties.
Used for centuries by Native Americans to reduce fever and relieve pain, Wintergreen oil is considered a true therapeutic essence. Its unique chemical composition includes up to 99% methyl salicylate, a compound with properties similar to aspirin, which is why this oil is nicknamed the “Aspirin of aromatherapy”.

How to use:
- as a massage oil: mix 15 drops in 30ml carrier oil, such as jojoba, avocado or almond and massage the skin or scalp with it
- in the hot tub: put 10-15 drops together with a cup of Epsom or Himalayan salt
- as a diffuser blend: add 6 drops of Grapefruit, 3 drops of Lemon, 3 drops of Peppermint, 2 drops of Rosemary, 2 drops of Basil and a drop of Wintergreen, for mental focus.
