Cajeput / Melaleuca Cajuputi Essential Oil 15ml

Cajeput essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the tree and is obtained by steam distillation. The botanical name of Melaleuca cajuputi comes from the Malaysian word ‘kaju putih’, which means ‘white wood’. The tree is native to South Asia, and the main producers of Cajeput essential oil are currently Indonesia and Vietnam. The fragrant white flowers of these trees support the production of an aromatic honey, by attracting bees. This property led Florida beekeepers to later introduce the tree to the United States. Being a powerful analgesic, Cajeput essential oil is found in the well-known Tiger Balm, and because it is also an effective antimicrobial, it is used for skin care and in the manufacture of soaps and disinfectants. Cajeput essential oil cleanses the air, improves mood, helping to overcome depression, anxiety and fear.
 

Middle Note
The aroma of Cajeput essential oil is similar to that of Tea Tree oil, as they are part of the same botanical family. Its deep aroma is full of freshness, uplifting, fruity, with a hint of camphor. It is a combination of rosemary and cardamom, with a rich note of eucalyptol.
