Vetiver essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the root of the plant. The plant is native to India and is an important herb for Indian culture due to its healing properties and soothing aroma, used since ancient times for the production of perfumes. From an emotional point of view, Vetiver essential oil relaxes and calms, it is perfect for tense moments, fights anxiety, anger, fatigue and insecurity. Spiritually, Vetiver oil centers, is a good choice during meditation and balances the root chakra. In traditional Asian medicine it is used in case of high temperatures, being a natural coolant of the body.
Base Note
Its aroma is strong, grassy, with earthy notes, which lasts for long periods. The smoky notes meet with slight spicy, herbaceous aromas.
It is used in small quantities due to its potent aroma; stabilizes very well when used in blends.

It is used only diluted in a vegetable oil in a liquid form or cosmetic product (about 2 drops of essential oil per 10ml of product). How to use:
- as a massage oil: mix 15 drops in 30ml carrier oil, such as jojoba, avocado or almond and massage the skin or scalp with it
- in the hot tub: put 10-15 drops together with a cup of Epsom or Himalayan salt
- as a diffuser blend: add 6 drops of Levander, 3 drops of Rosemary, 2 drops of Frankincense and 1 drop of Vetiver, to ward off anxiety.
