Myrrh essential oil is extracted from the resin of the Styrax tonkinensis tree, native to the warm regions of Yemen and Somalia. The resin is obtained by heating the tree trunk, a process that releases a deep, balsamic and sacred aroma, appreciated since ancient times.
Considered one of the most valuable essences of the ancient world, myrrh was used in healing, beautification and meditation rituals, being recognized for its aromatic, medicinal and spiritual qualities. In Christian tradition, Myrrh was one of the three gifts offered to the Baby Jesus by the Magi, along with gold and frankincense – symbols of purity, wisdom and divine balance.
Today, nJoy Nature Myrrh essential oil continues this sacred legacy, being appreciated for its profound effect of introspection, calm and spiritual liberation. Often used together with Frankincense oil, it creates a harmonious blend, perfect for moments of silence, reflection and inner peace.
Base Note
Its aroma is much more pleasant than that of the resin ans even more intense. It is a woody, earthy and slightly balsamic aroma. It works great in blends with spiritual or meditative intent, being a protective and warming oil.
